Face to Face groups

'I think from the moment I went to my first Sands support meeting, things began to look up. I am
now always referring people to Sands, knowing how much of a difference the group has made
to me.' – Tanya

Our local support meetings offer bereaved parents and their families the opportunity to meet with others in their area who’ve also experienced pregnancy or infant loss.

At these monthly meetings, you’ll be able to share your experience with people who understand what you’re going through, although of course there is no pressure to speak or share. Listening and acknowledging other people’s stories, emotions and experiences can be just as helpful and meaningful.

Each of our support meetings is facilitated by a volunteer parent supporter especially trained in providing grief support. Our facilitators are passionate about creating a warm, safe and welcoming environment for you, no matter the type of loss you’ve experienced or how long ago it was.

All are welcome for a coffee, supper and a chat on a casual or ongoing basis.

Our current support meetings take place in the following locations. If you are interested in setting up a support group in your area please get in touch with our National Manager of Care Services.
