Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month

Every year on October 15, around the world people remember and celebrate the little ones held dearly in their hearts, but no longer in their arms.

Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day is observed worldwide on 15 October. It is a special day where families and their supporters remember the little ones gone too soon. Any type of loss is included, including early pregnancy loss, miscarriage, TFMR, Ectopic Pregnancy, Molar pregnancy, chemical pregnancy, stillbirth, neo-natal death, SIDS, SUDI, SUDC, and accidental. No matter the loss, it is a day to remember.

We acknowledge the specialness of this day by acknowledging it for the whole month. We will be sharing family stories and working towards raising awareness.

Activities for Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month

Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day (October 15)

On October 15 we take the time to remember the little ones forever in our hearts. Buildings across the country will light up in purple in the evening, and we will call out for you to share your memories and images of your little ones on our social channels. Use the #PAIL2022 and tag our social channels.

Wave of Light

Every year on October 15, around the world, people light a candle at 7 pm (in their time zone) to participate in the Wave of Light to remember and honour their little ones who have died. No matter how far along you were in your pregnancy, you are invited to participate and share your photo of your candle or light by #WaveofLight and #StandingSilent.

If you want to join us, tag us and use the #waveoflilght to help honour all the beautiful ones who never got to take their first steps.

Purchase an In Loving Memory candle for this year's Wave of Light.
