Together we walk the steps our precious babies and children never took

Co-hosted by Sands and Red Nose Grief and Loss, our Perth Walk to Remember will be held a few minutes from Perth City at Lake Monger, a picturesque natural reserve, home to a beautiful variety of native wetland flora and fauna. Lake Mongers 3.5 looped walk also forms a part of the Yange Kep Bidi (Wetland trail) within the culturally and historically significant Whadjuk Trail.

Part of International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Month, this is a day to come together to remember our loved ones and find connection with other bereaved parents. The event will include a memorial service during which you will be invited to come forward & say your loved one's name/s. The service will be followed by a ceremonial Walk to ‘take the steps our babies could not’, generally a 10-15 minute short walk.

For personalised t-shirts and singlets, Sands is partnering with A Cut Above Byron who will sell shirts directly and make a donation per garment to Sands. Orders need to be received by 15 September at the latest to allow for postage time.

This event is free, but bookings are essential.

Further details about the day can be found on the booking page.
