We are stronger when we work together.
Sands Victoria utilises a “community partnership” approach based on the notion of collaboration and shared responsibility, when working with health professionals, donors and sponsors, and when involved with the business and community sectors.
Sands Victoria offers over 30 years of experience in the areas of 1) parental grief support and 2) utilising the unique methodology of a peer-based model of support.
Our choice is to work hand-in-hand with health professionals and multi-disciplinary practitioners working in the community sector. We can develop shared-care plans, take referrals, make referrals, work in partnership for joint-funding applications, partnership projects and networking events.
We work alongside the business sector, where professionals and business owners have an interest in our cause, our promotion, our funding and our services. We have run joint events with the business sector to great effect. We invite people to become donors and sponsors for on-going fundraising and for special events.
Services we offer for health professionals

In-service training is a useful way for midwives, nurses, obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to understand what grieving parents may be experiencing, and how best to care for them. We also explain how Sands can help you and your patients.
