We can't do it without your support.
As a not for profit organisation operating nationally and on the ground across five states (Vic, Qld, TAS, WA, SA), we are always on the look for new volunteers, donors and supporters to help us ensure that we can continue to deliver and expand our services to bereaved parents across Australia. Please do consider getting involved today.
Sands is completely reliant on donations, grants and individuals willing to fundraise for us. Why not join the many people already taking part in fundraising activities across Australia today. You could take part in a (fun) running event, skydive, cake sale or create a fundraising page in memory of your baby - the options are endless.
We are now asking all supporters to help us fundraise - Click here to find out more and start fundraising today.
Sands is regularly looking for volunteers to support our work in a number of ways, including Volunteer Parent Supporters who deliver our support services via our Support Line, Live Chat, Email or Local Support Groups. We also need volunteers for Management Committee roles, Events, Fundraising and much more.
NOW RECRUITING VOLUNTEER PARENT SUPPORTERS - Melbourne & Adelaide
Volunteer Parent Supporters play a vital role in supporting other bereaved families by allowing them to talk about their immense grief in a safe, supportive environment.
We are looking to recruit volunteers who have experienced the death of a baby and who can commit to one 24 hour shift every fortnight for the phone lines and to facilitating a support group once a month . Due to the nature of the role, we do ask that a period of 12 months has passed since your loss or that you feel confident and ready to support other bereaved parents during their time of intense grief.
We are looking to recruit and train up to six new volunteers to support other bereaved parents who contact us for phone support and for volunteers to co-facilitate our support groups in Warragul.
The two-day Training will be taking place in Melbourne on the weekend of 9TH & 10TH September.
We are looking to recruit and train up to six new volunteers to train into group facilitator roles to support bereaved parents who seek support through our Sands support meetings. We are recruiting for group facilitators in the Mount Barker, Hallett Cove (city south) and area north of the city.
The two-day training will be conducted in Adelaide across two full Saturdays - the 16th and 23rd September.
Interested in applying for either location? Complete the Volunteer Expression of Interest Form and we will be in touch.
Your generous support helps fund vital support and information services for bereaved parents and Healthcare Professionals which can help to ensure that bereaved parents and their families receive the right support at the right time.
